Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) in collaboration with Aljazeera channel and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) on August 15 concluded the course of documentary film production and direction.
About 30 journalists, directors and interested persons were trained from 15-19 August, 2009. They learnt basics and principles of documentary film production and direction.
The Palestinian director Mura'eMuntaser, Manager of Production Section at the Documentary Aljazeera Channel trained the participants.
The training and qualification section official Hanan al-Akahali said that this course came to meet the demands of workers in the field of making documentary films with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experiences.
Al-Akahali said that this is the first course of its kind in terms of content, pointing out that other courses will be held at the fields of photography, production and directions of documentary films.
These courses aimed to enable participants to benefit from audio and visual media outlets in defending rights, freedoms , good governance and combating corruption.
