Militias of the Houthis on Tuesday abducted the known writer and journalist Yahya Abdul-Raqeeb al-Jubaihi from his house in Sana'a City.
Relatives of al-Jubaihi reiterated that Houthi militias kidnapped al-Jubaihi, stormed into his house, and took over his documents, equipment and library.
Al-Jubaihi's detention came days after the abduction of his son, Hamzah al-Jubaihi, at the end of last week when he was going to his job. He has not been released so far.
Al-Jubaihi was born in 1955 in Jabal Habashi district, Taiz governorate. He worked as a correspondent for a number of Arab newspapers. He was also appointed as the head of the journalism and media administration at the Yemeni cabinet in 1998. He occupies this position so far.
It is worth mentioning that Houthi militias close down all opposing TVs and websites, detained many journalists and put them in jails without trials or charges as they took over the capital Sana'a on September, 2014. They plus prevented their families from visiting them.
