Alwahdawi.net- Yemeni journalist, Ashraf al-Raifi, has won the award of “Best News Report” granted by Arab Trade Union Confederation on women's issues in the Arab region’s labour market.
The member of Yemeni Journalists Syndicate has won the first place prize for his report entitled "Yemeni women.. A story of life in the Face of War", while Shiraz Rahali from Tunisia has come in second place for her report "Tunisia: Oystercatchers and Crabs in Sea.”
About 25 journalists from different Arab countries have taken part in the competition after the confederation in early February announced to launch the competition to celebrate International Women's Day, which marks today of each year.
Al-Raifi serves as the managing editor of Alwahdawi Newspaper and the secretary of freedoms committee at Yemeni Journalists' Syndicate (YJS).
